Lincs Field Development (Renewable Energy), North Sea (2008-2009). Project Manager offshore site
investigations for Centrica on an offshore windfarm project. Responsible
for day-to-day management for 3 offshore geotechnical survey spreads.
Platform Site Investigations, North Sea (2008). As Senior Client
Representative responsible for geotechnical, contractual and HSE issues
during the investigation. Clients included Shell, Chevron, Centrica, Fairfield Energy and Ithaca.

Australia (2006). Senior Engineering Geologist for engineering geological
report regarding a pipeline shore crossing at Barrow Island, to aid the
dredging
and Horizontal Directional Drilling.
FUGRO ENGINEERS BV
Gumusut Kakap Field Development, Offshore Malaysia (2006). Site Manager for offshore
deepwater geohazard and geotechnical survey for the design of mitigation
measures to address the gas hydrate problem. Downhole investigation
included down-hole soil sampling, piezo-cone testing, temperature testing,
pore water sampling, unpressurised coring (for logging with IR camera),
pressure coring (for logging with X-ray). Responsible for day-to-day
management and safety of marine and geotechnical crew as well as on-board
reporting.
Gorgon Field Development, Australia (2006). Assisted Project
Manager with the preparations of a nearshore geotechnical survey for site
characterisation for a pipeline shore crossing. Downhole investigation
consisted of rock coring from a small geotechnical jack-up, which was to
be positioned by 2 support vessel. One of the support vessels served as
accommodation crew. Project preparation included environmental issues to
minimise the effects of the investigation near a class-A nature reserve
(Barrow Island).
Gorgon Field Development, Australia (2005). Site
Manager for offshore deepwater geotechnical survey for site
characterisation for subsea facilities and pipeline routes. Downhole
investigation included down-hole soil sampling and piezo-cone
testing. Responsible for day-to-day management and safety of marine
and geotechnical crew as well as on-board reporting.
Assistant Project Manager (2005). Internal traineeship within Fugro Engineers BV to broaden
the contractual knowledge of experienced Site Managers or to prepare for a
career change.
Kikeh Field Development, Offshore Malaysia (2005). Site
Manager for offshore deepwater geotechnical survey for site
characterisation for FPSO and DTU facilities. Seabed investigation
included piezo-cone testing and STACOR sampling. Downhole investigation
included down-hole soil sampling, piezo-cone testing and In-situ Vane
Testing. Responsible for day-to-day management and safety of marine
and geotechnical crew as well as on-board reporting.
Platform Site Investigations, West Africa (2005). Site Manager for offshore
geotechnical survey for site characterisation of several platform
locations in Angola for Chevron Texaco. Seabed investigation included
piezo-cone testing and STACOR sampling. Downhole investigation included
down-hole soil sampling and piezo-cone testing. Responsible for
day-to-day safety and management of marine and geotechnical crew as well
as on-board engineering and reporting and development of onshore
laboratory programmes. Developed location specific sampling and
in-situ testing programmes based on proposed facilities and local soil
conditions.
Bosphorus Railway Crossing, Turkey (2004). Site Manager for
geotechnical survey of a submerged railway tunnel. Downhole investigation
included piezo-cone testing, seismic cone testing (S and P wave) and soil
sampling. Responsible for day-to-day management and safety of marine and
geotechnical crew as well as on-board reporting.
Platform and Pipeline Site Investigations, Australia (2004). Site Manager for offshore
geotechnical survey for site characterisation of several platform
locations and pipeline routes in Australia. Clients included Woodside,
Inpex and Coogee Chemicals. Seabed investigation included piezo-cone
testing, seismic cone testing, T-bar testing, Large Gravity Piston Coring
and Vibrocoring. Downhole investigation included piezo-cone testing,
seismic cone testing, In-situ Vane Testing and soil sampling. Responsible
for day-to-day management and safety of marine and geotechnical crew as
well as on-board reporting.
Kikeh Field Development, Offshore Malaysia (2003). Site Manager for geotechnical investigation for conceptual
geotechnical design purposes. Investigation included the use of a Rapid
Piston Sampler and a push sampler from a semi-submersible. Responsible for
day to day management on site and safety of Fugro personnel on board the
semi-submersible as well as development of onshore laboratory programmes
and the conceptual design of driven piles, drilled-and-grouted piles,

Medgaz Pipeline Route, from Algeria to Spain (2003). Site Manager for geotechnical survey
of a gas pipeline. Investigation included piezo-cone testing, seismic cone
testing, T-bar testing, piston coring, box coring and water sampling.

geotechnical crew as well as on-board engineering and reporting and
development of onshore laboratory programmes and onshore
reporting.

included Marathon and Texaco. Investigation included down-hole soil
sampling and piezo-cone testing. Responsible for day-to-day safety
and management of marine and geotechnical crew as well as on-board
engineering and reporting and development of onshore laboratory
programmes. Developed location specific sampling and in-situ testing
programmes based on proposed facilities and local soil conditions.
Akpo Field Development Project, West Africa (2003). Site Operations Manager for
offshore geotechnical survey for site characterisation. Investigation
included STACOR sampling, box coring, T-bar testing, in-situ vane testing
and piezo-cone testing. Responsible for day to day management of marine
and geotechnical crew.
Jack-up Rig Site Investigations, Egypt (2002/2003). Geotechnical engineer for offshore ground investigations and
geotechnical analyses for jack-up rig locations. Geotechnical
investigation including drilling and sampling from rig and on-site
laboratory testing. On site analysis of seabed penetration of spudcan
foundations including potential for punch-through failure and rapid leg
penetration.
ExxonMobil Yoho Field Development Project, Offshore
Nigeria (2002). Fugro Engineers Teamleader for geotechnical survey of
several piled and jack-up platforms. Investigation included down-hole soil
sampling and piezo-cone testing. Responsible for day-to-day
management of marine and geotechnical crew as well as on-board engineering
and reporting and development of onshore laboratory programmes.
Developed location specific sampling and in-situ testing programmes based
on proposed facilities and local soil conditions. Responsible for the
in-office labtesting of FIGN and the data reporting of FEBV during the
virtual office project.
Platform Site Investigations, North Sea
(2001-2002). Site Manager for offshore geotechnical survey for site
characterisation of several platform locations in Norwegian, Danish, Dutch
and UK sections of the North Sea. Clients included NAM, Shell and Maersk.
Investigation included down-hole soil sampling and piezo-cone
testing. Responsible for day-to-day management of marine and
geotechnical crew as well as on-board engineering and reporting and
development of onshore laboratory programmes. Developed location
specific sampling and in-situ testing programmes based on proposed
facilities and local soil conditions.
Campos Basin, Offshore Brasil (2001). Project Engineer for in-office factual and engineering reporting.
Engineering studies included shallow foundations, flowlines and risers,
suction piles and torpedo piles.
Western Libya Gas Project, Nearshore Libya (2001). Team Leader for nearshore geotechnical investigation for
site characterisation for the installation of a jetty. The investigation
included coring, SPT and piezo-cone testing from small geotechnical
jack-up platforms.
ACG and Shah Deniz Field Surveys, Offshore
Azerbaijan (2001). Assistant Site Manager for offshore geotechnical
survey for sub-surface characterisation. Offshore crew consisted of both
geotechnical as marine personnel. Investigation included down-hole soil
sampling and in-situ testing, including piezo-cone, in-situ vane shear and
piezo-probe testing.
Hazira LNG Terminal, Gulf of Khambhat, India (2000). Project engineer for advice for construction of LNG
storage tanks for new LNG facility. Analyses of site liquefaction
potential. Analyses of tank stability and settlement.
West Delta Deep Marine Concession Survey, Mediterranean Sea, Offshore Egypt (2000).
Assistant Site Manager for offshore ground investigation, including
gravity-coring, piezo-cone testing, water sampling and box-coring for
environmental purposes. Ground investigation included the characterisation
of mud-volcano deposits. Project Engineer for in-office factual and
interpretative reporting, including integration of geotechnical,
geological and geophysical data. Conducted pile capacity studies.
Viking Cable Route Survey, Norway to Germany (2000). Assistant Site
Manager for offshore ground investigation for installation of a power
cable. Site investigation included piezo-cone and thermal-cone
tests.
TGN Atlantic Cable Route Survey, US-side (2000). Site Manager
for offshore ground investigation for fibre-optic cable.
Medfiber Cable Route Survey, Spain to Italy (1999). Assistant Site Manager for
offshore ground investigation for fibre-optic cable. Project
Engineer for in-office reporting.
